
Reshma Saujani was the first Indian American woman to run for Congress in 2010. During that time, she visited schools and saw the gender gap in computing classes. This is what inspired Girls Who Code.
Girls Who Code is an international non-profit with the mission to close the gender gap in technology and to change the image of what a programmer looks like and does.
GWC offers:
Club Programs for grades 3-12, Beginner to Advanced, Free, 1-2 hours per week
College Loops – 18+, Beginner to Advanced, Free, 1-2 hours per week
Summer Immersion – Rising 10-12th grades, beginner, Free (stipends available), 2-week virtual daytime program
